California King vs King sizes – Which One is Better?

Short answer:
If you are not sure what you want, take the King size. It’s better.

King and California King Size mattresses have almost the same surface area. None of them is bigger than another.
King size (76″ x 80″) is wider and shorter than California King (72″ x 84″)

King size is much more popular than California King. So it’s easier to pick accessories for King size mattress and they can be a little cheaper. Notice: in case of upgrading your bed from King to California King you will have to replace almost all of your bedding accessories.
